The Engine and its lesser counterpart, the Shuttle Engine, are vital installations that allow the submarine to move in water.
Function
The engine only works if it receives a signal, this can be done by connecting the velocity_x_out
output of the navigation terminal to the set_force
input of the engine.
Same goes for the shuttle engine as well.
Engines can quickly become broken due to being exposed to water, while shuttle engines aren't affected by water. A Mechanic is able to fix it by using a welding tool and wrench.
When set_force
of engine is unwired it is possible to use plus and minus buttons on the engine's interface to set it's force manually (1% per click).
