Crates are portable containers. They spawn after items are purchased at a Store, or as part of a Cargo Mission. They come in several different variations. They can be stored in a Crate Shelf or Unit Load Device.

Metal Crate

A general storage crate for items bought from the stations, or taken from them. Has a capacity of 20 items. Not waterproof.

Secure Metal Crate

A metal crate with a built in lock that can be set to id cards in the editor but not in game. Has a capacity of 20 items. Can be deconstructed for its contents. Not waterproof.

Chemical Crate

A crate that is supplied when chemicals, medical supplies, water reactive materials, and paints are purchased. Has a capacity of 12 items. Waterproof.

Explosive Crate

A crate that is supplied when possibly explosive supplies are purchased. Has a capacity of 12 items. Waterproof.

Medic Crate

A crate that is supplied when medical supplies are purchased. Has a capacity of 12 items. Waterproof.

Sealed Supply Crate

A crate that can be sold for a hefty price at outposts. Holds no items.

Note: This cannot spawn in the Vanilla game, as there are no wrecks with the "wreckstoragecab" tag on any crate shelves.

Magnetic Suspension Crate

A crate that is used for transporting Volatile Nitroglycerin for the Handle with extreme care mission. Has a capacity of 11 items. Has one battery slot. Battery Cells keep the crate powered for 4 minutes and 54 seconds. Waterproof.

Leaking Chemical Crate

A crate that is used for transporting cargo for the Chemical shipment mission. Has a capacity of 12 items. Not waterproof.

Clown Crate

A crate made by Assistants with the talent Enroll into Clown College. Able to hide a player inside it. Has a capacity of 12 items. Waterproof.
