Description
Security Officers are responsible for keeping the submarine safe from threats, both in and outside the submarine. The Security Officer's ID card provides access to any Doors or Containers related to their job in the submarine.
There can be a maximum of 2 Security Officers, though none are required.
Security Officers have 110 base vitality, 10 more than the default 100.
Hired Security Officers cost 15% more than usual.

Talents
Security Officers Talents mostly focus on making them better at protecting the rest of the crew and providing them better gear by increasing their offensive capabilites and unlocking recipes for many powerful weapons.
The Frogman Specialization focuses heavily on making the Security Officer more proficient at fighting outside of the Sub. It unlocks the recipe for the Harpoon Coil-Rifle, a huge upgrade over the regular Harpoon Gun, alongside granting them many buffs that it benefits from greatly, and a recipe for the Slipsuit which makes fighting and maneouvering in water much easier, but at the cost of more difficult movement in dry conditions.
The Enforcer Specialization makes them a force to be reckoned with in any close-quaters combat situation by unlocking the recipe for the Autoshotgun, which is a huge upgrade over the regular Riot Shotgun and greatly buffing their defensive capabilities. It also unlocks the recipe for the Fulgurium Stun Gun Dart which is capable of stunning any human-sized target for a couple of seconds, and the Riot Shield which can help in keeping order on board, or be used to support crewmates with ranged weapons by crouching in front of them.
The Gunner Specialization revolves around overpowering any threat with a rain of bullets from a distance. It unlocks a recipe for the Rifle, a very capable long range bolt-action weapon with the possibility of attaching and shooting a 40mm Grenade, a recipe for the Assault Rifle which is an upgrade over the SMG, and a recipe for the powerful HMG which is unmatched in its offensive capabilities and can easily deal with entire swarms on its own. It also buffs the Security Officer and one of their crewmates' offensive capabilties when using Turrets, and their explosives-making skills.

- The "additional items" from Scavenger means respawning the container loot.
- Implacable does not heal the conditions that would cause you to go unconscious, it simply prevents going unconscious for 15 seconds. As such, you will pass out (and possibly succumb to your injuries) if 15 seconds pass and you have not raised your vitality above 0.
- Holding the crouch key underwater will still activate Commando even though crouching is impossible underwater.
- Crusty Seaman increases the rate of recovery from bleed from 0.1 per second to 1.1 per second, an 11x increase.
- Tandem Fire simply checks for players operating periscopes with no regard if that periscope is actually linked to a turret.
- The Tandem Fire buff lasts for 2 seconds and increases attack power, allowing for stronger attacks after stopping using a periscope for a brief time.
