The Diving Mask is a Headgear.

Description

The Diving mask allows the user breathe when underwater, but does not provide any protection from water pressure like the Diving Suits. They are useful for repairing hull breaches in the event of minor flooding or when there is no time to grab a Diving Suit. Diving masks can also be useful when extinguishing fires onboard the submarine; without it, the submariner may risk injuries from poor air quality in the burning room.

Function

It can be worn in the Headgear slot.

• In order for the mask to function, an oxygen supply must be placed inside. This may be an Oxygen Tank or Oxygenite Tank tank, with the latter providing a longer supply and a 20% movement speed boost, at the cost of being nonrefillable.
  • Equipping a Welding Fuel Tank or Incendium Fuel Tank inside the mask will cause the player to asphyxiate, with the latter additionally causing burns.
• Because the Diving Mask obstructs the user's face, it can be used to disguise oneself by wearing it in conjunction with another player's ID Card, much like a diving suit.
