Focused Flak Shells Boxes are Flak Cannon ammunition.
Mechanics
When loaded into a Flak Cannon shots spawn a projectile that detonates on proximity. When a creature is detected within 3.25m the shell detonates, spawning 5 pieces of shrapnel in a 50° cone, and dealing Deep Tissue Injury (20)* in a 0.3m radius.
Should the shell impact directly despite the proximity fuse, it will deal Deep Tissue Injury (70)*, Bleeding (20)*, and Stun (4)* – or 30 damage if hitting a structure. The pieces of shrapnel deal Lacerations (30)*, Bleeding (20)*, and Stun (1.5s)* each, and have a 10% chance for an additional Stun (5s)* – or 40 damage if hitting a structure.
It is important to note that the 150 Lacerations damage is the combined damage from each individual piece of shrapnel, not the total laceration damage of a single shot. Further, direct hits, the explosion, and the shrapnel have various chances of severing limbs and various armor-penetration values. A direct hit has a 100% base severance chance, the explosion 10%, and hits from the shrapnel 30%. Direct hits have 10% penetration, the explosion has no penetration, and shrapnel hits have 40% penetration.
