The Dementonite Diving Knife is a Melee Weapon in Barotrauma.

Description

The Dementonite Diving Knife is a one-handed melee weapon. It an upgrade over the regular Diving Knife, having increased attack speed and additionaly inflicting Psychosis, which doesn't have much of a use other than messing with crewmates. Its use in combat is relatively limited, usually only being able to effectively overpower Crawlers in most cases; even when dual-wielded. Other than that, it is almost exclusively a last resort weapon, or finishing off gravely injured creatures.

It can only be acquired using console commands as the talent unlocking its crafting recipe and the crafting recipe itself have been removed.

Function

The Dementonite Diving Knife is held with one hand. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right-click to take aim, then by Left-clicking to shoot/use.

• It has a 5% chance to inflict 5 Psychosis on the user when used.
• Its one-handed, meaning it can be dual-wielded, essentially doubling the DPS.
