The Sonar Beacon is a portable electrical device.
It can be activated to create a marker at its location, visible on a Navigation Terminal, Sonar Monitor, or Handheld Sonar. This can be used to mark a specific location, or to locate characters. It may attract the attention of certain creatures.
The sonar beacon can be equipped and held in one hand, at which point the beacon's GUI opens up. There's an on/off toggle, and an option to edit the beacon's label that appears on sonar devices.
- After being turned on, the beacon can be put anywhere in the inventory, into containers, or dropped.
