A device used to splice alien genes into a human. Equip the splicer in the health interface and insert genetic materials in the splicer to activate the genes. Once spliced onto a living subject, genetic material cannot be removed without destroying it.

The Gene Splicer is an item that allows the player to equip refined Genetic Materials to gain semi-permanent new abilities.

Function

The basic splicer that can be crafted by anyone with the materials and has room for 1 splice. The advanced splicer can only be crafted by a medic with the Advanced Splicing Talent unlocked, but allows 2 splices to be used simultaneously. An installed splicer can not be seen by other players and will be lost on death.

Usage

The Gene Splicer has an inventory where splices can be placed. Removing a splice will destroy it and cause 10 Organ Damage and 0.5 Stun . Removing the Gene Splicer will destroy all installed splices. A Gene Splicer can only be applied to yourself.
