The Syringe Gun is a ranged medical weapon.

Function

The Syringe Gun is uniquely capable of remotely administering chemicals to crew members. While this could be used beneficially, for instance if a player was infected with a Velonaceps Calyx instance and a Medical Doctor needed to quickly inject them with Calyxanide, its primary usage is in nonlethally sedating rogue crew members. It can also be used to deal massive damage with a nitroglycerin syringe.

Usage

The Syringe Gun must be loaded with a Medical Syringe, which in turn must contain a chemical. As is standard with any form of tool in Barotrauma, it can be aimed by holding down the right mouse button and fired with the left.

Trivia

  • Despite the item's medical nature, it is internally considered a weapon.
