The Fire Extinguisher is a tool that can be acquired in Barotrauma.
Function
The fire extinguisher's main function, as its name indicates, is to extinguish fires.
While in use the fire extinguishers condition will slowly decay. Its current condition is displayed underneath its icon in the player's hotbar. Once depleted, it can be deconstructed as it can't be refilled.
Fire extinguishers are essential in stopping fires from spreading to sensitive parts of the submarine. Alternatively, flooding the section on fire can also be a sub-optimal solution of dealing with them, should there be no fire extinguishers available.
Fire extinguishers can also be used underwater to act as a makeshift propulsion system.
