The Fire Extinguisher is a tool that can be acquired in Barotrauma.
Function
The fire extinguisher, as its name indicates, is designed to expel carbon dioxide in order to extinguish fires. While in use, a red meter will appear on the left side of the screen, indicating how much fuel is left in the tank. Once depleted, there is no way to refill the extinguisher.
Fire extinguishers are essential in stopping fires from spreading to sensitive parts of the submarine. Alternatively, flooding the section on fire can also be a sub-optimal solution of dealing with them, should there be no fire extinguishers available.
Fire extinguishers, if used underwater, can act as a makeshift propulsion system.
Usage
The fire extinguisher requires both hands to equip. Holding down the right-click (mouse2) button will aim it in whichever direction your cursor is positioned. Holding down the left-click (mouse1) button will activate it, affecting any fires within its range.
