The Fire Extinguisher is a tool that can be acquired in Barotrauma.
Function
The fire extinguisher, as its name indicates, is designed to expel carbon dioxide in order to extinguish fires. While in use, a red meter will appear on the left side of the screen, indicating how much fuel is left in the tank. Once depleted, there is no way to refill the extinguisher.
Fire extinguishers are essential in avoiding fires spreading to sensitive parts of the submarine. Alternatively, flooding the section the fire is in can also be a sub-optimal solution of dealing with them, should there be no fire extinguishers available.
If used underwater, a fire extinguisher can be used to propel a player in the opposite direction of which they are spraying.
