The diving mask is a piece of head gear that can be equipped in Barotrauma.
Function
Much like the Diving Suit, diving masks allow players to breathe when underwater. The downside is it will not protect the player from the ocean's water pressure, which will still crush them should they try exiting the submarine.
The diving mask will hinder the players sight.
Diving masks can prove useful for repairing hull breaches in the event of flooding. Compared to Diving Suits, they will not hinder the player's mobility.
In order for the mask to function, an Oxygen Tank must be placed inside. Alternatively, one can use an Oxygenite Shard which proves 50% more air than the Oxygen Tank. Equipping a Welding Fuel Tank inside the mask will cause the player to asphyxiate, at first the person will quickly go unconscious and start dying though after 50% percent damage the damage slows down gradually giving enough time for someone to save the player dying.
You can also use the diving mask to disguise yourself by taking off or putting on another player's ID Card while wearing it.
Tips
As a traitor a good idea to take down the entire crew could be to replaced all the diving masks oxygen with welding fuel this is a great way to kill of an unsuspecting crew.
Additionally if you shoot a person and place the mask one it could speed the process up significantly.
It's best to keep a diving mask on you in case of an emergency.
