Tools are items primarily used to perform a variety of maintenance tasks on the submarine. Most tools require the correct amount of construction and electrical engineering skill to be operated safely.
Any tool can be used as last-resort improvised melee weapon, although their efficiency in that regard tends to be low. The Plasma Cutter and the Welding Tool are exceptions to that rule, being remarkably damaging.
