The alien flare is a consumable, throwable, light-emitting item in Barotrauma.

Usage

As of version 0.20.16.1, alien flares cannot be activated under normal circumstances.

Active alien flares radiate a blue, flickering light in a 10.0m radius for 800s (13min 20s). Like Template:Hpyerlink, and unlike Glowsticks, they will sink in the water once dropped or thrown.

Alien flares, like normal flares and glowsticks, will attract the attention of many creatures, potentially providing a useful distraction.
