The Stun Baton is a Melee Weapon in Barotrauma.

Description

The Stun Baton is a two-handed melee weapon. It has a range of 1 meter, inflicts a bit of Blunt Force Trauma and provided it has a charged battery it also inflicts Incremental Stun which slows small Creatures or Humans, and finally Stuns them when it reaches over 90. Its a useful weapon for aiding in restraining misbehaving crewmates or capturing hostile Humans.


It can be crafted by anyone or bought at some Outposts.

Function

The Stun Baton is held with both hands. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right Mouse Right-click to take aim, then by Left Mouse Left-clicking to shoot/use.

  • It requires power to inflict the Incremental Stun. A single Battery Cell provides enough power for 4 hits, and a Fulgurium Battery Cell for 6 hits. Higher quality Batteries provide power for more hits.
  • Restraining or capturing Humans is done by grabbing a stunned person, placing Handcuffs in their inventory, and pressing the "Equip" button above them.
