The Deadeye Carbine is a unique, burst-fire SMG-variant Ranged Weapon. Compared to the SMG, the Deadeye Carbine has much less weapon spread, making it more accurate at long ranges, but has a lower fire rate.
It spawns rarely in wrecks and abandoned outposts (5%).
Function
The Deadeye Carbine is a medium-range weapon, shooting bursts of three rounds each from a detachable magazine. As all firearms in Barotrauma, it functions both on board of the submarine and underwater, and ammo cannot be recovered. The Carbine needs a Magazine to function, each of which holds 21 rounds (the rounds cannot be accessed directly).
The Deadeye Carbine rounds inflict Bleeding and Gunshot Wounds, making them very effective at stopping the bleed-able denizens of Europa, such as Crawlers, Mudraptors and Traitors.
Deconstructing a full SMG magazine will yield 1 lead and 1 steel bar. Deconstructing an empty magazine will yield only 1 steel bar. Empty magazines can be recycled by security officers with the Bootcamp talent.
Usage
The Deadeye Carbine is held with both hands and must be loaded with an SMG Magazine to be used. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right-click to take aim, then by Left-clicking to shoot/use.
Unlike the SMG, the Deadeye Carbine fires in bursts of up to 3 bullets continuously until the Magazine runs out of rounds. When holding down the trigger, there is a 0.1 second delay between each bullet in the burst, followed by a 0.7 delay after the third bullet until the next burst. The average fire rate is therefore 3 bullets in 0.9 seconds, or 3.33 bullets per second, compared to the SMG's 6.67 bullets per second.

Trivia
- Magazines don't actually contain 21 rounds, instead they spawn bullets on demand as long as the Magazine has enough durability, like the Coilgun.
- The Deadeye Carbine can be deconstructed into raw materials.
