The Handcannon is a very powerful, twohanded, ranged weapon. It can be crafted by a Captain with the Bounty Hunter talent unlocked.

Function

The handcannon functions as a two-handed ranged weapon. Its high armor-pierce value makes it a great choice when facing heavily-armored foes, such as Humans wearing Body Armor, Mudraptors, or Bone Threshers.

Dual-wielded Revolvers have higher damage per second than a handcannon, but require two inventory slots, and only the first shot of one of the two revolvers profits from the Quickdraw-talent. The handcannon also remains the superior option against heavy armor, as even Depleted Fuel Revolver Rounds have just 25% armor-pierce, compared to the Handcannon's 60%.

Usage

The Handcannon is held with both hands and must be loaded with Handcannon Rounds to be used. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right Mouse Right-click to take aim, then by Left Mouse Left-clicking to shoot/use.
