It is an upgrade over the regular {{hl|Diving Knife|25}}, trading some of the {{hl|Bleeding|25}} for more direct {{hl|Lacerations|25}} and additionaly {{hl|Radiation Sickness|25}} and a good amount of Armor Penetration. It has a very short range with a high attack speed. Despite having bigger damage and armor penetration than its weaker counterpart its use in combat is still relatively limited, usually only being able to effectively overpower [[Crawler]]s in most cases, altough the armor penetration makes it somewhat usable when fighting more armored [[Creatures]] like [[Mudraptor]]s. | |||

The Hardened Diving Knife is a Melee Weapon in Barotrauma.
Description
The Hardened Diving Knife is a one-handed melee weapon. It is an upgrade over the regular Diving Knife, trading some of the
Bleeding for more direct
Lacerations and additionaly
Radiation Sickness and a good amount of Armor Penetration. It has a very short range with a high attack speed. Despite having bigger damage and armor penetration than its weaker counterpart its use in combat is still relatively limited, usually only being able to effectively overpower Crawlers in most cases, altough the armor penetration makes it somewhat usable when fighting more armored Creatures like Mudraptors.
It can be crafted by an Engineer with the
Heavy Hitter talent unlocked; It cannot be bought.
Function
The Hardened Diving Knife is held with one hand. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right-click to take aim, then by
Left-clicking to shoot/use.
- Its one-handed, meaning it can be dual-wielded, essentially doubling the DPS.
