Mechanics
When loaded into a Flak Cannon shots spawn a projectile that detonates on proximity. When a creature is detected within 3.25m the shell detonates, spawning 8 pieces of explosive shrapnel in a 270° cone, and dealing Deep Tissue Injury (20)* in a 0.3m radius.
Should the shell impact directly despite the proximity fuse, it will deal Deep Tissue Injury (70)*, Bleeding (20)*, and Stun (4s)* – or 30 damage if hitting a structure. The shrapnel explosions deal Deep Tissue Injury (30)*, Bleeding (30)* each and have a 10% chance for an additional Bleeding (15)* – or 25 structure damage. If the explosive shrapnel impacts a target it will deal Deep Tissue Injury (3)*, Bleeding (2)*, and Stun (0.75s)* – or 20 structure damage if hitting a structure. It is important to note that the 240 Deep Tissue Injury damage is the combined damage from each individual piece of shrapnel, not the total explosion damage of a single shot.
