The Moloch Baby is the baby variant of the Moloch.
Description
The Moloch Baby is a small, pink jellyfish-like creature that slowly floats around the oceans of Europa. It is one of the few passive creatures in the game, being completely unable to attack Humans. The Moloch Baby has the ability to send out loud screeches if it feels threatened, which alert any nearby Molochs of an enemy's presence.

In-game
As previously mentioned, the Moloch Baby lacks any offensive capabilities, but will emit a very loud noise when hurt. This noise acts as a call for their mother to defend them, and can be heard from a very long range. If in a group, the call emitted from one Moloch Baby will trigger all other Moloch Babies in a small range, amplifying the distress call. This makes it impossible to avoid the mother Moloch from turning aggressive towards the Submarine.

Combat strategies
Since Moloch Babies are unable to attack the player, any weapon can be used to neutralise them. However, be careful when considering violence, as attacking the Moloch Baby will cause the Moloch to attack the submarine. A Captain will often turn off active sonar on the Navigation Console and instead use passive sonar, avoiding the Moloch and Moloch Babies entirely.
