Alien Blood is a basic chemical item dropped by many Creatures.

Alien Blood can be used to treat Bloodloss extremely effectively. When applied, it will reduce the affliction strength by 90 over a period of 15 seconds, which translates into a maximum of roughly 180 vitality for a character with 100 max vitality. It treats Bloodloss 75% as effectively as Blood Packs.

It additionally causes Psychosis as a side-effect.

Bloodloss is caused by the Bleeding affliction and Swarm Feeders.

Like all Medical Items, Alien Blood can be applied through the Health GUI (Default Key H). See this page for more information on usage.

Alien Blood cannot be loaded into a Syringe Gun, and cannot be swung from the hand. It can only be applied in the Health GUI.

Alien Blood is also used to craft Blood Packs and Europabrew in the Medical Fabricator.

Alien Blood is an effective way to treat Bloodloss, and is a much cheaper alternative to Saline and Blood Packs. Alien Blood can be found easily by looting creatures; most creatures drop 1-2 upon death. It treats Bloodloss 75% as effectively as Blood Packs, however comes with the downside of applying a moderate amount of Psychosis. Since Psychosis does not deal any damage or other direct hinderance to a character, a player may find using Alien Blood as an economical way to treat severe Bloodloss, if they are able to identify and ignore the audio and visual effects. If a crew has plenty of resources to spare, then using Saline, or even Blood Packs may be a slightly more expensive, but much less annoying alternative to Alien Blood.

Using Alien Blood to gain high amounts of Psychosis can be a cheap way of triggering the effects of Psycho Clown.

The talent Bloody Business reduces the Psychosis applied by 22.5, which is half of the Psychosis applied when using Alien Blood.
