(what's weird? If you're talking about the description, it's the one on the Health HUD when you examine someone else that has at least 40 strength on it. I used the format from all other afflictions page)

The "Indirect" stage normally occurs when the watcher is outside the submarine with the player being inside, this stage applies minor Nausea and Psychosis, along with small screen distortions. This, along with the Watcher's signature "static", lets you know it's nearby if you weren't already aware of it.

The "Direct" stage is much more extreme, involving heavy Nausea and Psychosis, inflicting Organ Damage, and causing extreme screen distortion, making it almost impossible to see clearly. It should be noted that this affliction's stage system is completely range based, so it's entirely possible to get the extreme "Direct" stage while still inside the submarine if you are unfortunate enough to be very close to the area the Watcher is observing. Try not to lose your mind.

Seeming confused and slightly terrified, the patient doesn't look good. Could it be a mental breakdown? A stress reaction? There's not much you can do about it.

"Watcher's Gaze" is an affliction that is only inflicted when a Watcher is nearby. The only cure is to gain distance from the Watcher and wait for the effects to subside.

The Affliction itself has two distinct stages of intensity, applying multiple other afflictions such as Psychosis and Nausea, along with minor Organ Damage in the more severe state. The two stages will be referred to as "Indirect" and "Direct".

The "Indirect" stage normally occurs when the watcher is outside the submarine with the player being inside, this stage applies minor Nausea and Psychosis, along with small screen distortions. This, along with the Watcher's signature "static", lets you know it's nearby if you weren't already aware of it.

The "Direct" stage is much more extreme, involving heavy Nausea and Psychosis and causing extreme screen distortion, making it almost impossible to see clearly. It should be noted that this affliction's stage system is completely range based, so it's entirely possible to get the extreme "Direct" stage while still inside the submarine if you are unfortunate enough to be very close to the area the Watcher is observing. Try not to lose your mind.
