"Direct" is when the watcher is incredibly close, most often when you are outside the submarine and it's taking interest in you. This has effect such as heavy Nausea and Psychosis, and slight [[Internal Damage]] (Organ Damage) along with extreme screen distortion. This can also occur if the watcher is very close to the submarine as its effects are entirely range based at time of writing.

Watcher's gaze is an affliction that only occurs when a Watcher is nearby, and has no cure besides gaining distance from the Watcher itself. The "Affliction" itself has two distinct "phases", the latter being much more severe.

"Mild" is usually when the watcher is outside the submarine, with you inside. This has effects such as mild Nausea and Psychosis along with slight screen distortion.
