The Multi-tool is a consumable item.

Description

The Multi-tool has the combined functionality of a Screwdriver and a Wrench, allowing the user to do mechanical and electrical repairs quicker and without tools, but at the cost of consuming the Multi-tool.

It can only be crafted by a Mechanic with Modular Repairs. 2 are crafted at a time.

Function

It can be used to repair mechanical or electrical installations by pressing the "Use" keybind (E by default) on an installation to open the repair GUI and starting the repairs. It can also be used to rewire Connection Panels of any installations or electrical components inside the repair GUI.

  • Repairs are performed 150% faster than with the base tools.
  • One pack is consumed upon completion of the repair. They stack up to 8.

Trivia

  • The Multi-tool may be a reference to Factorio, which has an item with an identical name, is made for broad repairs on electrical and mechanical items, is consumable, and the in-game icon matches the icon for the related talent, albeit horizontally flipped.
