Ice Spires are hazardous environmental objects. They are long protrusions that inflict destructive structure damage Submarines on collision.

Mechanics

Ice Spires spawn randomly throughout the Cold Caverns and The Great Sea Biomes.

On collision, Ice Spires cause 50 damage to affected Walls. Ice Spires can be destroyed effectively using Submarine Weaponry; Ice Spires have 100 structure health.

AI

AI crewmembers ordered to steer the Submarine WILL NOT avoid Ice Spires, requiring player intervention to either destroy the Ice Spires or manually steer around them.

AI crewmembers operating guns will shoot any Ice Spires in sight.
