Salt Bulbs are a water-reactive fruit dropped by the Salt Vine Plant.
Description
Salt Bulbs are a yellow fruit that has green within its gaps. Salt Bulbs are a dangerous fruit to leave around or contain in non-watertight containers as when left submerged in water for 3 seconds, it will explode, applying Burn (20)* and Stun (5)* to anyone within a 0.5m radius (without hull damage). Notably, water from the Watering Can will NOT trigger the explosive reaction.
Usage
Salt Bulbs can be deconstructed into Sodium, a very useful mineral in crafting Submarine Weapons, and Salt Vine Seeds. The Sodium gained is mainly used to craft UEX, a basic explosive material for crafting explosive Ammunition and other Explosives. It is generally the most useful plant to grow, especially when using Submarine Weapons like the Coilgun or Flak Cannon, or when loading Railgun Shells with explosives.
Function
Like all Fruits, Salt Bulbs can be thrown ( to Aim, then ), leaving a fruity, yellow goo on the walls.
