Pet food is an item that can be used to feed any pets, regardless of which of the three types of food they prefer to eat, and provides the same nourishment they get from eating any other food of their preferred type.
Like other food items, it is used by leaving it on the ground in the vicinity of the pet you wish to feed.
It can not be fabricated, however it can be purchased at any outpost.
