If your ship gets impaled, the only way to get away is to destroy/kill the fleshgun ammo sacks just inside the top hull of the wreck and/or the thalamus brain, usually near the bottom of the wreck. Revision as of 03:03, 8 August 2020

Asgoodasnew.jpg As good as new

Repair a broken device.

Fairly self-explanatory. Use a wrench or screwdriver to repair a mechanical or electrical device once it has started to deteriorate. The wrench or screwdriver must be equipped, a minimum skill level is not required and this can be accomplished from any role, however you risk lacerations (mechanical) or burns (electrical) with lower skill levels.

Gettingclean.jpg Getting clean

Recover from an opiate addiction.

An opiate addiction can be obtained through a few doses of opium, morphine, or fentanyl. Recovering from an opiate addiction requires naloxone. You can apply these to yourself through the heal "H" menu.

Dontyoudieonme.jpg Don't you die on me!

Heal someone back from a critical state.

A "critical state" is defined as unconscious, ie. someones health bar has completely deteriorated once, they have no heartbeat, you can perform CPR on them. Heal them back by treating their symptoms, generally through opiates to treat damage, bandages for burns and bleeding, or blood packs for blood loss. Alternatively, you can choose to administer a toxin of your choice to an unsuspecting volunteer, wait for them to reach a critical state, and then administer the antidote.

Smoothsailing.jpg Smooth sailing

Complete a round without any casualties or damage to the submarine.

More possible than it sounds. Easiest to achieve in sandbox mode at 0% difficulty, and maybe only 1 bot to keep track of.

Stopthehammertime.jpg Stop the hammertime

Kill a Hammerhead.

A hammerhead is one of the creatures in the game that you can get a mission to kill. Starting a "Mission" on a server with the "Monster" mission type is the best chance to get this mission. You can also come across this mission through the Campaign, and (although perhaps rarely/only at higher difficulty) you may come across hammerheads naturally during your travels.

Freighter.jpg Freighter

Complete a cargo mission.

Again, starting a "Mission" on a server with the "Cargo" mission type is the best chance to get this mission. However you will also come across cargo missions during the Campaign.

Thecoldcaverns.jpg The Cold Caverns

Discover the Cold Caverns.

This is the first section of the campaign map and you should "discover" the Cold Caverns when you first start the Campaign.

Thisisfine.jpg This is fine.

Face a complete and utter disaster.

There is no quantitative description for a complete and utter disaster, but the understanding is that the majority of the ships hull would be breached, systems/devices damaged, etc. Your survival is not required. A nuclear meltdown on its own is insufficient.

Hereirecognizenosuperiors.jpg Here I recognize no surperiors

Complete a round as a Captain.

Fairly self-explanatory. Easily completed on your own, either in singleplayer campaign or on any of the game modes on a multiplayer server.

Whateverworks.jpg Whatever works

Kill something with a plasma cutter, welding tool, or a wrench.

Fairly self-explanatory. Aim by holding right mouse button, fire (swing) with left mouse button. Fairly certain crewmates count as "something".

Noviceseafarer.jpg Novice seafarer

Travel over 10 kilometers.

Fairly self-explanatory, this should only take about 3 or 4 complete rounds. Fun fact, the distance shown on the sonar is the distance you need to travel and NOT a direct distance from you to the destination, ie. if the distance to your destination is increasing, you're going the wrong way!

Everincreasinginspeedandpower.jpg Ever increasing in speed and power

Complete a round as an Electrical Engineer.

Self-explanatory, requires another human player to be the captain. Don't get burned too badly.

Truthinsimplicity.jpg Truth in simplicity

Complete a round as a Mechanic.

Self-explanatory, requires another human player to be the captain. Don't get too many lacerations.

Xenoarchaeologist.jpg Xenoarchaeologist

Complete an artifact mission.

Starting a "Mission" with the mission type "Salvage" is the easiest way to get this mission. You can also come across this mission in the Campaign. Be aware that some artifacts can be dangerous, such as constantly being on fire when out of the water!

Iamthelaw.jpg I am the law

Complete a round as a Security Officer.

Self-explanatory, requires another human player to be the captain. Don't kill too many clowns.

Accordingtoabilityandjudgment.jpg According to ability and judgment

Complete a round as a Medical Doctor.

Self-explanatory, requires another human player to be the captain. Don't trust the "Suitable Treatments", like at all. Look it up, you're a doctor after all.

Extravehicularactivity.jpg Extravehicular activity

Venture 500 meters away from the sub.

Can be accomplished with a Diving Suit and an Underwater Scooter. Easiest with a bot in your crew. Put on a diving suit, get out the airlock, then use the command menu to get the bot to "Navigate to Destination" while you just hang out at the starting outpost. Once you get the achievement, command them to "Navigate Back".

Praisethehonkmother.jpg Praise the Honkmother

Obtain a full clown costume.

Easily done by editing your submarine of choice in the submarine editor and providing a full clown costume (Clown Mask and Clown Costume) in one of the lockers. Otherwise, they can be found on bodies or in lockers of wrecks, or perhaps through the Campaign if you become friendly enough with the "Children of the Honkmother" they will provide you your own Clowning attire.

Theeuropanridge.jpg The Europan Ridge

Discover the Europan Ridge.

The second section of the Campaign map. Discover by making enough progress through the campaign map.

Killedamoloch.jpg Killed a Moloch

Take down a Moloch.

Similar to the hammerhead achievement, a moloch is one of the creatures in the game that you can get a mission to kill. Starting a "Mission" on a server with the "Monster" mission type is the best chance to get this mission. You can also come across this mission through the Campaign, and (although perhaps rarely/only at higher difficulty) you may come across molochs naturally during your travels.

Notonmywatch.jpg Not on my watch

Take down a traitor before they manage to complete their objective.

This requires you to be in a multiplayer server with the "Traitors" set to "Maybe" or "Yes". I don't believe bots can be the traitor, so this will require at least one other human player to be the traitor.

Iamthecure.jpg I am the cure

Cure a husk infection.

On yourself*. Currently this achievement does not unlock when you cure a husk infection in someone else, no matter how many crewmates you infect and cure at various stages, using various techniques of varying degrees of success. Inject yourself with "Velonaceps Calyx Eggs", wait until you get the "Husk Infection" affliction trait (it's blue, looks like tentacles) then inject yourself with either the cure, "Calyxanide", or the "Broad-spectrum Antibiotics".

Dowhatyoulove.jpg Do what you love

Complete a round as an Assistant.

Self-explanatory, requires another human player to be the captain. Don't do what you hate.

Insurgency.jpg Insurgency

Successfully complete a traitor objective.

This requires you to be in a multiplayer server with the "Traitors" set to "Maybe" or "Yes". However, since you are going to be the traitor, you can unlock this achievement on your own with a crew of bots. They'll never see it coming.

Underwatercoffin.jpg Underwater coffin

Complete a wreck salvage mission.

Starting a "Mission" with the mission type "Salvage" is NOT the easiest way to get this mission, as I believe it only ever spawns "Salvage an artifact" missions. You can come across this mission in the Campaign. Be aware that some wrecks have a Thalamus in them, with Fleshguns that will impale your ship, while other wrecks have husks hiding inside of them. If your ship gets impaled, the only way to get away is to destroy/kill the fleshgun ammo sacks just inside the top hull of the wreck and/or the thalamus brain, usually near the bottom of the wreck. If there are husks in the wreck, you will need someone with firearms to kill them, and maybe you if you get bitten.

Nofunallowed.jpg No fun allowed

Kill a clown.

Stun a bot, grab them (to have access to their inventory), put the clown costume on them. For obtaining a clown costume, see the achievement Praise the Honkmother.

Lastmanstanding.jpg Last man standing

Complete a round along after everyone else in the crew has perished.

Not equivalent to completing a round by yourself. Easily done in sandbox, 0% difficulty, crew of 3-4 bots. Complete the journey successfully, then right before docking, dispatch your crewmembers. Or do it the old-fashioned way and wait for a catastrophic failure that only you have the brains to survive, and then put the sub back together, and then make it to the destination.

Nuclearblastsurvivor.jpg Nuclear blast survivor

Complete a round after a nuclear meltdown.

Again, easiest to essentially complete the round and then induce a meltdown at the destination, repair, then dock. The old-fashioned way is doable, especially with an incompetent engineer or a very hurt submarine.

Gottagofast.jpg Gotta go fast

Accelerate a submarine to over 100 km/h.

Easiest to edit the "Max Force" of the engine of your submarine of choice. Not sure if this is actually achievable otherwise. Manual steering is the best way to push a sub to its max (and subsequently into a wall, but as long as you hit it at 101 km/h...)

Vivalarevolution.jpg Viva la Revolution

Defeat the Coalition crew in a submarine-vs-submarine mission.

Achieved by hosting a multiplayer server in the "Mission" game mode, selecting the "Combat" mission type and killing the entire crew of the submarine at the destination. May I suggest the Nuclear Railgun Shell?

Iambecomedeath.jpg I am become death

Kill something with nuclear explosives.

Speaking of the Nuclear Railgun Shell, that's how you get this one. It can be crewmates or creatures. Just be aware of the blast radius.

Theaphoticplateau.jpg The Aphotic Plateau

Discover the Aphotic Plateau.

The third section of the campaign map. Just keep swimming.

Agazeintotheabyss.jpg A gaze into the abyss

Take the submarine down to crush depth and survive.

Not exactly sure what crush depth is, although at around 2100m, the hulls tend to give in to pressure and your sub entirely fills with water. However, I unlocked this achievement without experiencing that, so perhaps it is a seed- and ship-specific depth. Further research required.

Forthecoalition.jpg For the Coalition

Defeat the Renegades in a submarine-vs-submarine mission.

Tempted to say "Achieved by hosting a multiplayer server in the "Mission" game mode, selecting the "Combat" mission type and killing the entire crew of the submarine at the destination." However, I always seem to spawn as the Renegades. Further research required.

Experiencedseafarer.jpg Experienced seafarer

Travel over 100 kilometers.

Self-explanatory. Really really keep on swimming. If you do it at 100 km/h it will only take an hour!

Xenocide.jpg Xenocide

Kill 100 creatures.

Any way, any how. It won't take too long, there's so many creatures.

Spend 24 hours in the submarine editor in total.

Achievable if you're actually trying to make a working sub. Check out the new and improved Sub Editor wiki page (W.I.P.), or search some tutorials on YouTube. Or just leave it open in the background.

Thelonesailor.jpg The lone sailor

Complete a round alone from start to finish.

Lonely but doable, easiest to complete in sandbox mode at 0% difficulty. This means no humans or bots.

Poisoner.jpg Poisoner

Kill something with morbusine.

Possibly bugged, only 1% of players have unlocked this. Morbusine is a neurotoxin that can be administered through the heal "H" menu, or equipped in your hands, right mouse to aim, left mouse to swing. Pretty sure "something" includes crewmates, creatures, and yourself. But none of those have worked yet! Further research required.

File:Enterthevoid.jpg Enter the Void

Discover the Great Void.

There's probably nothing there. It's the fourth section of the campaign map, between the third and the fifth.

Thehydrothermalwastes.jpg The Hydrothermal Wastes

Discover the Hydrothermal Wastes.

It's the penultimate section of the campaign map. Next up, the endzone!

Wherenomanhasgonebefore.jpg Where no man has gone before

Descend below 5000 meters.

Similar problem to "crush depth", may need a specially designed submarine for this one. Map seeds "DownDown" and "GoDeep" were promising at one stage. The Remora is now classified as a "Deep Diver"? Further research required.

Genocide.jpg Genocide (hidden)

Kill 100 humans.

It's hidden because murder bad. If they're bots they won't be too mad. Pretty sure it still counts if you also die. Also the new campaign outposts have lots of humans. Remember to check the"Killable outpost NPCs" and perhaps "Desctructible outposts" setting.

Thebiggertheyarethehardertheyfall.jpg The bigger they are, the harder they fall

Kill an Endworm.

I'm assuming it's at the end, in the endzone. Probably.

Theendisthebeginning.jpg The end is the beginning

Finish the campaign.

Which means when you start the campaign, it's just the beginning of the end.
