- Tonic Liquid is one of the few items that have a recommended Medical skill of 5. Since no character can be less than level 5 in any skill at game start, the only way to be below Medical level 5, and therefore to have a risk of failure when using Tonic Liquid, is to be level 9 or lower and then suffer from Reaper's Tax in a multiplayer game. The only other items in this case are Saline, Antirad, Deliriumine Antidote, Morbusine Antidote, Cyanide Antidote, and Sufforin Antidote.
