The Thermal Alien Artifact generates a size 1 Fire every 30 seconds. The artifact will play a sound when this happens.
It is recommended to use an 
Artifact Transport Case while transporting them to avoid the negative effects.
When deconstructing the artifact, a 
Fire Extinguisher can be used to quickly put out fires that will occur as a result of deconstruction.
When finishing the "Salvaging an Artifact" mission, artifacts must be inside of the submarine in order to complete the mission, either on the ground or inside of a container.
