It also protects the player from the pressure of the ocean, allowing them to exit the submarine and enter rooms that are pressurized due to breaches. The maximum depth of the suit is increased somewhat over regular diving suits, allowing the player to safely reach up to 6,000m in depth.


Players wearing a Slipsuit move 45% quicker while swimming, but 60% slower when walking. Slipsuits boost the thrust of {{hl|Underwater Scooter|s=s}} by 40%.

The Slipsuit is an Outerwear in Barotrauma.

Description

The Slipsuit is an protective and pressure resistant Outerwear. Its an upgrade over the Combat Diving Suit specialized in water combat due to the additional installed fins that greatly increase the user's Swimming Speed at the cost of their Walking Speed; It provides the same protection against Afflictions and Pressure Protection - for up to 6000 meters of depth. It incorporates a built-in light and a breathing gas supply that allows the user to breathe underwater, provided that the breathing supplies are filled. Due to its construction it reduces its user's field of view and muffles certain sounds.


It can be crafted by an Security Officer with the Boarding Party talent unlocked; It cannot be bought at any Outpost.

Function

The Slipsuit can be worn in the Outerwear slot.

  • When worn it protects all limbs, has an additional 50% chance to completely resist Husk Infection and provides Pressure Protection for up to 6000 meters depth. To safely dive deeper a more pressure resistant Diving Suit is required.
    • It also slows down its user's Walking Speed by 60%, but increases their Swimming Speed by 45% and Scooter Propulsion Speed by 40%.
  • It requires a Breathing Supply item inserted into it to provide Oxygen to the user, otherwise they will suffocate.
  • It has a built-in light that doesn't require a battery and will work as long as the user is alive.
  • It reduces the user's field of view.
