The Plasma Cutter is a destructive tool that can be used in Barotrauma.
Function
Using compressed air from an Oxygen Tank, plasma cutters are able to slice through structures, such as platforms, walls and windows. They can also un-seal any doors which were sealed with the Welding Tool.
Structures being affected by the plasma cutter are highlighted by a rectangle. The color of said rectangle determines the condition of the structure: a greener color indicating that the structure is in a stable condition and a redder color to reflect a poor condition. When the structure is about to break the rectangle will begin dissipating.
When the plasma cutter is in use, a red meter will appear on the left side of the screen, indicating how much fuel is left in the oxygen tank.
Plasma cutters can also injure other players and creatures, so it is advised that others keep some distance from anyone using the tool.
Usage
The plasma cutter requires both hands to equip. Holding down the right-click (mouse2) button will aim it in whichever direction your cursor is positioned. Holding down the left-click (mouse1) button will activate the tool, affecting any structures within its range.
If a player attempts to use a plasma cutter without the appropriate skill level, it will only operate at 1/4th the efficiency.

Trivia
- It is possible to attach a Welding Fuel Tank to a plasma cutter. However, it will not function.
