The Periscope needs to be wired up to another installation in order to function. it will allow you to operate weapons or cameras. They are considered essential installations, and without it combat will be extremely hard. Connecting it to cameras or spotlights simply allow you to observe things outside or inside of the submarine. Connecting it to a weapon will allow you to operate it and see outside the sub. Periscopes cannot be damaged or be colored. Periscopes do not show anything when not connected to anything usable.

The Periscope is a stationary installations in Barotrauma. It's meant to be connected to different installations, such as the Coilgun, Railgun, Searchlight and Camera.
