The Diving Knife is a Melee Weapon in Barotrauma.

Description

The Diving Knife is a one-handed melee weapon. It has a very short range with a high attack speed and a low chance of severing limbs. The Diving Knife inflicts Bleeding, Lacerations, and a tiny bit of Stun. Being one of the weakest dedicated melee weapons, its use in combat is relatively limited, usually only being able to effectively overpower Crawlers in most cases; even when dual-wielded. Other than that, it is almost exclusively a last resort weapon, or finishing off gravely injured creatures.


It can be crafted by anyone or bought at any Outpost.

Function

The Diving Knife is held with one hand. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right Mouse Right-click to take aim, then by Left Mouse Left-clicking to shoot/use.

  • Its one-handed, meaning it can be dual-wielded, essentially doubling the DPS.
