The Crowbar is a Tool in Barotrauma.

Description

The Crowbar is a two-handed tool which can be used as a Melee Weapon. It has a 1 meter range and deals a small amount of Blunt Force Trauma. It should usually be used as a last resort weapon, or for finishing off gravely injured creatures, unless playing as an Engineer with the Unstoppable Curiosity or Ph.D in Nuclear Physics talents that greatly increase its damage making it a good option for fighting off any small Creatures. It can also be used to force-open locked doors and hatches similarly to the Plasma Cutter, but faster and without destroying the door, but its unable to un-seal doors which are welded shut.


It can be crafted by anyone or bought at any Outpost.

Function

The Crowbar is held with both hands. As with all weapons and tools, using it is done by holding the Right Mouse Right-click to take aim, then by Left Mouse Left-clicking to shoot/use.

  • It can be used to force-open doors and hatches by pressing the "Use" keybind (E by default) on a door. Only doors that the character doesn't have access to can be forced open with a crowbar
    • It takes 7.5 seconds to force-open a door, and 6 seconds to force-open a wrecked door.
