Medical chemicals are used to heal [[Afflictions|afflictions]], like burns or internal damage. Harmful chemicals are used to inflict negative afflictions to a target.


All 3 types can be used by pressing the H button (by default) on a person/self and then clicking and dragging the chemical to the health GUI.  
Most chemicals come in a syringe, which allows the chemicals to be used without the Health GUI. By holding the "Aim" keybind (Left Mouse Button by default) and pressing the "Shoot" keybind (Right Mouse Button by default). The player's character will swing the syringe and inject its effects to anything it hits, both [[Creatures]] and players.

When injected to a player it gives them the [[Afflictions#Husk_Infection|Husk Infection]]. However, at stage 3 the character can not talk and spreads the infection to other players, but it also makes the player immune to pressure and oxygen damage.

Chemicals used to boost the user's speed, strength and stun resistance.


There are two cures to it, [[#Broad-spectrum Antibiotics|Broad-spectrum Antibiotics]] and [[#Calyxanide|Calyxanide]]. Calyxanide is by far the better of the two as it has no side effects, but in the event there is no Calyxanide, Broad-spectrum Antibiotics can be administered instead to slow down the infection for Calyxanide to hopefully be made. If painkillers are available Antibiotics can be administered in a lethal amount which will also cure the player and they can be healed back up as they take damage, although this requires a lot of Antibiotics & Painkillers.

Chemicals are comprised of different compounds and substances both helpful and harmful, that the crew can craft, buy, loot, or deconstruct from certain Plants.

Most chemicals come in a syringe, which allows the chemicals to be used without the Health GUI. By holding the "Aim" keybind (Left Mouse Button by default) and pressing the "Shoot" keybind (Right Mouse Button by default). The player's character will swing the syringe and inject its effects to anything it hits, both Creatures and players.

The Syringe Gun can also be used if a chemical needs to be injected from a distance.

Some more basic chemicals aren't injectable and must be used through the Health GUI, pressing the "Health" keybind (H by default) on a player or themselves opens the Health GUI. Then any chemical can be drag and dropped onto a limb or the drop circle.
