Gear, as its name suggests, is a suit or gear that the player can wear. It is divided into three slots in the player's inventory, representation by a featureless figure. The upper most slot is for headgear, the middle section is for a suit or best, and the lower most part is for footwear.

Some forms of gear may also be full-body suits, which will take up all three inventory slots, such as a diving suit.
