Batteries are stationary installations able to store and release electrical power.

Function

Batteries can be useful for stabilizing the submarine's power. They can absorb power when the Nuclear Reactor overproduces and menaces to overload and damage connected devices. When the reactor fails to provide enough currents for devices to function (be it because the reactor doesn't produce enough, is not connected to the device anymore, or is destroyed), batteries can provide back-up power for a substantial amount of time depending on the amount of time they have been receiving power. This allows the maintenance to be safely performed on the reactor in the event of an unforeseen problem.

Moreover, up to 3 Battery Cells or Fulgurium Battery Cells at a time can be placed into the battery to be recharged.

Usage

In practical terms, batteries can store up to 2.000 units of power; they can store up energy at a rate of up to 500 units per time unit, but can deliver electricity at a rate of 1.000 units per time unit.
