The Alien Flare is a depletable, throwable, light-emitting item mainly used in outside expeditions.

Function

As of 0.20.16.1, Alien Flares can not be activated under normal circumstances. This is an issue that has been fixed in an upcoming update.

The Alien Flare will emit a flickering bright blue light once activated. You can do so by holding the Alien Flare and clicking Left Mouse LMB. You can then throw it holding Right Mouse RMB and clicking Left Mouse LMB.

Notes

  • The Alien Flare is a stronger variant of the Flare. It emits a bright red light in a 10.0m radius for 13 minutes and 20 seconds before fully depleted.
  • The Alien Flare sinks in the water once dropped or thrown.
  • The Alien Flare will attract the attention of many Creatures if activated.
